Senior nephrologists from Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH), Nadiad visited Precision Urology Hospital (PUH), Lucknow on 18 December 2025 for an academic interaction and walkthrough of the hospital’s clinical and teaching facilities.MPUH, Nadiad is nationally renowned for running one of India’s highest annual kidney transplant programmes for nearly a decade.

The visiting delegation included Dr Mohan Rajapurkar, Former Head of Postgraduate Studies, MPUH; Dr Sishir Gang, Head, Department of Nephrology; Dr Umapati Hegde, Vice Chairman, Department of Nephrology; and senior consultants Dr Abhijeet Konnur and Dr Hardik Patel. The team was given an overview of PUH’s academic campus, clinical infrastructure, and systems supporting super-speciality training.

During the visit, Dr Mohan Rajapurkar was felicitated in recognition of his outstanding contributions to nephrology education and kidney transplant programmes in India.

Precision Urology Hospital, currently accredited by NBEMS, New Delhi for Urology super-speciality training, is in the preparatory phase for initiating a Super-Speciality Nephrology programme. The interaction provided an opportunity for academic exchange and benchmarking as PUH strengthens its teaching and training initiatives.
