Dr Gyvi Gaurav, Consultant Urologist and Head of Uro-oncology at Precision Urology Hospital, was invited as an expert  panelist on 6^th March, 2024 by our national broadcaster, Doordarshan for DD Uttar Pradesh’s live dial-in awareness program - “सेहत आपकी”. Dealing with common misconceptions around kidney stones and their treatment, the episode was aptly titled “Kidney stones: Breaking the myths before the stones” (गुर्दे की पथरी: पथरी से पहले भ्रांतियों को तोड़ना).

Dr Gaurav highlighted that lack of awareness about any disease leads to confusion, misinformation and irrational fears around its treatment. Subsequent delays in correct treatment can cause harm which could have been prevented. Renal stone disease is no exception. There were several enquiries made by callers who wanted to know more about the treatment of kidney stones.
