Dr. Gyvi Gaurav, Chief, Uro-Oncology Services, Department of Urology, Precision Urology Hospital, was invited as a distinguished speaker by the Urological Society of India in its flagship event at the prestigious USICON 2023. The event was held at New Delhi from 2nd February to 5th February 2023. Dr. Gaurav spoke on the topic “That part of Uro-oncology which we missed”. In his presentation on oft-ignored issues associated with urological cancers, Dr. Gaurav discussed high costs associated with out of pocket spending, lack of proper information and access to proper treatment, use of dated therapeutic and assessment tools, and absence of appropriate palliative care in India. His talk evoked interesting questions and applause from the audience that comprised urologists from pan India as well as abroad.
